Basic Training and General Obedience.

We follow 3 easy rules when training a dog for obedience.  Clear, Kind and Quick.

CLEAR:  The command word is always the same, the behavior is expected to occur immedialety, and the behavior must be maintained until the dog is released from command.  So many times we see owners tell their dog to “sit” and then do nothing when the dog is not sitting, but instead running, or completely ignoring them.

KIND:  There is no reason to yell at your dog.  The command is spoken in a clear, neutral voice one at a time.

QUICK:  If the dog does not respond immediately then the correction comes.  The correction needs to be delivered quickly and then released quickly.  The correction is followed by praising your dog.  This allows us to form a stronger bond between the dog and the trainer.

Advanced Obedience.

Every dog should be trained to follow their master completely off leash under any distraction possible.  If your dog was trained by Pro Canine Center for his basic training we highly recommend the next level, which would be off leash, in that case a further evaluation would be needed.

If your dog was not trained by us we must evaluate your dog before Pro Canine Center commits to the next level.  

Our Advanced Obedience provides you with the following menu.

1-  Walking next to you off leash.
2-  Sit and down in motion.
3-  Recall under distraction.
4-  Command to place and relax.
5-  Attention under all distraction.
6-  Owner handling training.

We can also provide you with Schutzhund, Police, Narcotics, Tracking from Basic through TR1, TR2, TR3,  FH1, FH2 and IPO-FH.

Pro Canine Center will develop a unique protection program depending on your needs and your dog’s ability.  You can choose from Levels I, II, III and Executive protection.

Student Courses
